Crafted with
intention,
worn forever
In our atelier, every piece passes through the same hands from the first cut to the final stitch. We believe in slow fashion — beautiful things made right, the first time.
Material Selection
Personally selected from the finest tanneries in Italy, France & Japan.
Pattern Crafting
Traditional patterns drawn by hand, refined over generations of mastery.
Hand Stitching
Each piece stitched by a single artisan from start to finish.
Quality Control
Forty-point inspection before anything leaves our atelier.
How a Marten piece actually gets made
No factory line, no shortcuts — just the same six stages, repeated by hand, on every single piece.
Material Selection
Every hide and bolt of cloth is graded by hand before it is allowed near a cutting table — for grain, temper, weight and the way it will age.
Hand-Cutting
A single craftsman reads the natural lines of each piece and places every panel by eye, balancing strength against beauty. There is almost no automation here.
Stitching
Seams are saddle-stitched or sewn at a controlled 8–12 stitches per inch with bonded, waxed thread, so a single broken stitch can never unravel a seam.
Edge & Hardware Finishing
Edges are painted, burnished and sealed in multiple passes by hand. Hardware is solid brass, set and tested for action before it ever ships.
Conditioning & Pressing
Finished pieces are conditioned to a soft, even lustre and pressed by hand — the last step that gives a piece its quiet, settled character.
The 40-Point Inspection
Symmetry, stitch density, edge finish, hardware action and grain are checked against forty points before a single piece leaves the atelier.
Quality you can feel before you read the label
Old money never shouts. It is recognised in the weight of a hide, the recovery of a cloth, and the quiet confidence of something made to outlast its owner.
Full-grain Italian leather
Sourced from Tuscan tanneries that have worked the same way for four generations. Vegetable-tanned over weeks, never corrected, never sprayed — so it breathes, softens, and earns a patina that is yours alone. The grain you see is the animal’s own; no two pieces are identical.
Ages for decades, not seasons.
Long-staple cotton with honest stretch
We weave long-staple cotton for a denser, smoother hand, then engineer a measured two-way stretch into the cut — enough to move with you, never so much that it bags or loses its line. Each bolt is washed and relaxed before cutting so the garment keeps its shape after the first wear, and the hundredth.
Pre-shrunk. Holds its shape. Recovers its form.

The standards behind every stitch
Luxury you can measure — the specifications we build to, on every piece.
A tighter, stronger, more refined seam. We hold 8–10 on leather and up to 12 on fine tailoring — and never below.
Grams per square metre, specified per garment — from lightweight shirting at ~180 to structured outerwear above 320.
Long-staple bonded polyester and waxed linen — chosen for tensile strength and resistance to abrasion and rot.
Natural corozo (tagua nut) and horn, polished and impact-tested. No brittle resin substitutes.
Solid, plated brass — never hollow or zinc. Weighted, corrosion-resistant, engraved with the marten mark.
Premium metal zippers, cycle-tested for thousands of open/close actions — a lifetime of smooth use.

Discerning
"I've owned pieces from Gucci, Zegna, and Loro Piana. Marten is the first Indian brand that made me feel I wasn't compromising. The leather on my Derby shoes is absolutely extraordinary."
